I take fish oil and my 1000MG gel tabs have 300MG EPA and 200MG DHA per tablet, which somes out to 50% EPA/DHA.

It doesn't matter how many MG are in a tablet, except that ones with lesser amounts mean you need to take in more less useful fats to get the same effect, which increases the number of calories you take in.

There is no right number of MG of EPA and DHA that one should take a day... you probably only need about 500MG EPA and 300MG DHA, but I take 1200MG of EPA and 800MG DHA per day.

I will say that it's very important to take supplements that actually have EPA and DHA in them, and not just ALA, because the body does a poor job converting ALA into EPA and DHA, which makes fish oil a superior choice to flaxseed oil.

This is the exact brand I buy. The quality of this product is good and has less fishy aftertaste the other's I've tried, which is an indication of superior quality. For best results, store fish oil in the freezer.
