    Take fish oil pill supplement

What about an organic cod liver oil supplement (mercury free)? I wouldn’t go with the flaxseed, I have heard pregnant women should stay away from it.

I’ve been taking these Multi Oil supplements from GNC for a few years.

    http://www.drugstore.com/qxp156599_333181_sespider/gnc_preventive_nutrition/multi_oil_dietary_supplement.htm

It has a mix collectively of Fish Body Oil, Wheat Germ Oil, Evening Primrose Oil, Borage Oil, Black Currant Oil, Flaxseed Oil, Vitamin E, Rosemary Leaf Wring and couple other ingredients you’ll find on the website.

I’ve never liked fish much, and I’ve read much about how omega 3, 6 & 9 fats are very beneficial. Also, when I was TTC I questioned an employee there about the possiblity of mercury content, and they re-assured me (as well as showing me a pamphlet) that the levels were next to none, and safe during pregnancy and TTC. They are also lemon scented/flavored so they don’t stink and as the GNC lady says “you don’t burp up fish oil smell.” LOL. Never had that problem, but these are the only oil tablets I’ve ever taken, and I continue to take them during my pregnancy.

My OB is aware and doesn’t object.

    Hope that helps!

Expecta Lipil Dha supplements……..for pregnant and nursing women. Thats what I have been taking. I took it even as pregnant and when I nursed me 2 yr ancient son too. And he is brilliant for his age.

My OB said tuna is fine, just not more than one can a week. Shrimp is fine as long as its cooked. Other excellent sources are sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, soybeans, tofu, brocolli, nuts, strawberries, raspberries, squash, spinach, cabbage, romaine lettuce…

I take a prescription pre-natal with omega 3 fatty acids in it already. It has a lot of fantastic stuff you wouldn’t get in an over the counter. It’s called Citracal… they even taste like vanilla. Question your doctor about it if your interested.
