In general, I agree. Some hand blenders run up to 17,000 rpm, which is still really instant… In general, they are excellent for particular tasks, such as whipping cream (because they do introduce air). The hand blenders can also get messy.. If your serious, get a real blender or a liquidizer.. You CAN use the liquidizer as a kind of “blender” by using a “bemused plate” which will honestly successfully mush up anything place into it, which is called “baby food”.
John i like your record, its a very fascinating debate between juicing and blending, what are your thoughts on using a hand held blender? As far as i am aware, they dont reach as high resolutions per second compared to stationary blenders, and therefore corrosion would be decreased, but they may not break down the material as well, what are your thoughts?
@rawfoods
Thanks very much for making this record. I chose on an Omega 8006 liquidizer. I can simply add some of the non-soluble fiber back as desired. I’m also using the non-soluble fiber to make crackers in my dehydrator or putting it in my composter.
Go for the Nowalk Liquidizer, its all Stainless Steel.. Its also $2500
Even as you can juice berries, I recommend blending them. IF you juice them, you will get small juice, but alot of pulp (dissipate) and berries are expensive.. unless you grow them yourself..
The results and pros/cons that I talk about in this record would be similiar for leafy greens. When blending leafy greens, you will NEED to add a liquid (water) to get them to mix collectively.
Yes, you could do that. But blending also tends to oxidize the food more, which would be counterproductive in my opinion.
Yes, it would. Although the texture may not be the same.
I reckon blending is better
Wouldn’t using the homogenizing bemused with the Green Star make the same mushy substance as the blender, eliminating the need for the blender at all? (Granted I know this would be more time consuming)
Chewing, which has been with the human race for thousands of years, causes enzymes to be activated, thereby assisting the digestive process right through the entire alimentary canal.
I’m wondering if it’s a excellent thought to mix collectively the carrots and then place the contents into the liquidizer. Would that make juicing the carrots quicker and place less stress on the machine?
I just like this guy, like surveillance his videos… like the energy he puts out!!
Why it’s no mentioned here that blenders take a way some nutrients and due to quick spinning of the blades that makes heat and oxygenate the process?.
Have you done this comparison with greens? I’m on the fence regarding getting a liquidizer vs a Vitamix for greens.
Is it a excellent thought (IE possible) to juice small berries? I would LOVE some raspberries in my juice in the morn.
Dude I bought a blender but I was looking to juice…I can’t believe that happened. And now I fell in like with my 159.99 Ninja 1200 that I refuse to take back because it’s so fuckin awesome lol…but I still need the liquidizer
Is there a stainless steal liquidizer that’s high quality? I’m pretty sick and probably need to get juicing as soon as possible.Thank you so much for your input.
doesn’t this guy look like John Edwards?
I would personally juice them all. But yes, you can juice some produce items, and then mix collectively bonus veggies or fruits into them if you so desire. There are pros and cons to each blending and juicing as clarified in this record.
@blakreign39
…. or you can make veggie burgers, crackers or cookies from it.
Would it be a excellent thought to juice a carrot cucumber and tomato then mix collectively that with some leafy greens like kale collards and swiss chard
Would it be a excellent thought to be
Fiber provides bulk, and keeps you regular. The leftovers from juicing can be tossed onto a bowl of quinoa,rice,etc and eaten raw. Some people can’t chew hard veggies due to age, or jaw disorders. Blending, and juicing do a lot of the work. I toss water into my blender with shredded carrots, strain, and drink it. It’s very simple.
could you add some apple juice to the carrot to make it more liquid? I have a vitamix and debating about getting a liquidizer. I was looking at the jack lalane ones?
