According to the bible, God gave us instructions of what to eat and what not to eat. There is a list of “clean” animals and “unclean” animals. Clean animals are animals we should eat, and it will be beneficiary to our heath and can cause NO harm to our body, while unclean foods are suppose to be poisonous to our body. But some of the foods on the list contradict this statement. First the supposed “unclean” animal list which are “poisonous” to our body

Unclean List

Oyster (Oysters are COMPLETELY healthy and definitely isn’t poisonous to our body. Eating a small portion of oysters daily, will give you the recommended daily allowances of calcium, copper, iodine, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus and zinc. There are many other health benefits to eating oyster

Lobster (Lobsters due contain mercury, which even some of the “clean” fish contain mercury, but lobsters are extremely healthy as well. They are rich in omega 3 fatty acids, and release astaxanthin. Astaxanthin is a powerful antioxidant that has tons of health benefits. Lobsters are low in calories

Worms (Though disgusting to eat, eating worms definitely isn’t poisonous. Fruits and vegetables are sprayed with pesticides, are we going to claim they aren’t healthy?

Raccoons (If cooked thoroughly there are no negative affects of eating raccoons. Some people will say eating raccoons uncooked is poisonous, which the bible says. But as you will see when it comes to the “clean” animals, if uncooked can be poisonous as well

Scallops (Outside of it containing mercury, haven’t read ONE article that said scallops are poisonous and bad for us. Also contains a lot of omega 3’s)

All insects with the exception of a couple in the locust family (One, people are insects all the time and just don’t know it. Secondly some insects, outside the locust family, are completely fine to eat and aren’t poisonous, some are, some aren’t.

Also, let’s not forget the unclean bat which is supposedly a bird in the bible

Also why did God create all these “unclean” animals to begin with? What about the thousands of years (really millions, but I will stick to a 6-10,000 year old world for Christians) that man didn’t have this information? Why did he “design” a pig to be an abomination, but waited 4,000 years to tell the world. How many people died because they didn’t know these facts? Seems like a pointless creation to me. Nonetheless

Clean Animals (Remember clean animals do NO harm to our body. So some of these animals may have some health benefits, but they do tremendous harm to our body)

Chicken (Do I even need to rant about this? A lot of chicken are contaminated with Salmonella or Camphylobacter, which causes 75% of meat related deaths. I’m not going to talk about the cholesterol and bad fats)

There is a list of about 30 fish. All fish contain mercury so I won’t get into that

Deer and Elk. Both Deer and Elk have been found to have CWD (Chronic wasting disease) which is similar to mad cow disease. Not to mention the high cholesterol

Not to mention that eating any animal uncooked is totally unhealthy

So is this evidence that the bible can’t be from the word of an omnipotent God?
Christian 4 Jews read Leviticus 11 and what is says about eating unclean foods, especially fish without scales etc
