Can I get the necessary omega 3′s during pregnancy from eating Long John Silver’s?

Okay, ѕο I really don’t lіkе fish very much, bυt I саn stand thе batter bowl-shaped fish frοm Long John Silver’s. Dο уου know іf thеіr fish hаѕ аnу nutritional regard (omega 3 fatty acids аrе supposed tο bе really ехсеllеnt during pregnancy) οr whеrе I саn find thіѕ information? Thanks!
Wtfcats – I know, thіѕ іѕ mу second pregnancy, аnd I never worried аbουt аnу οf thаt before, bυt now people аrе telling mе thаt I need tο eat fish whеn I don’t really lіkе іt…. I mау try thе eggs though, bесаυѕе i lіkе eggs (wіth bacon οf course!) Thanks tο both fοr уουr responses!
And I аm taking mу prenatal vitamin still, ѕο I suppose I јυѕt shouldn’t worry tοο much thеn.

buy eggs enriched with them… i dont know what everyone is all nuts about this now, they didnt even know about omega 3′s and omfg eat this even as pregnant back in the 80′s and earlier and even as some of those 1990′s kids are a small special most of the earlier ones are fine.

EDIT: Bacon does kick ass, alone or with eggs. Note be sure to find eggs that really say Omega 3 extra… i know some are available

I reckon you are better off sticking to your prenatal vitamins. There are excellent omega 3s and terrible ones… just like that are excellent and terrible fats. Something fried and battered and 40 grams of stout is not going to be excellent for your body or the baby, but it might taste darn excellent to you. :)

  • Sweet:

The most omega 3′s will be found in salmon and herring… not the white fried fish at long Johns… but I like them too!

My prenatal vitamins have it in them. They sell the supplements in the store as well. So unless you are just trying to be silly here you don’t need to eat fatty fried foods to get Omega 3 fatty acids.

im sure it has it in it, also eggs are a excellent carrier for omega’s or what I did was buy orange juice that was fortified with omega 3 and 6, I bought PC brand, I know there are other brands as well, also margerine can come fortified as well. im sure it’ll be fine with the amount your getting. best luck

Probably not, quick food has most of the nutritional regard leeched out (but daaaaamn does it make you feel excellent even as you’re preggers ;-;).

Be careful eating fish though, you run the risk of mercury crossing the placenta. I don’t eat it more than once or twice a week and just take a supplement to make up the lost omega-3′s.

  • Maria:

No as their fish are farm raised; and therefore fed soy. It’s that way with most quick food fish.
